The Winter 2023 edition of Around the Oval showcases our amazing alums who have dedicated their lives to service. Our cover features General James H. Dickinson (B.S., ’85), who started at the CSU ROTC and rose to the rank of Four Star General in charge of U.S. Space Command; Thomas Choate (B.S., ’58), whose record-setting mountain climbs and spirit for volunteerism have shaped his adventurous life; Mark Oberschmidt (M.S., ’01), who was looking for adventure when he found the Peace Corps; Beki Toussaint (B.S., ’07), whose travels from Colorado to Alaska has inspired her to give back; and Joseph Ortega (B.S., ’21), who has overcome adversity to help empower the next generation.
